HEY DUDES! Have you listened to Colossus yet? It’s my brain turned into music and Meghan Norine McGrath sings on most of the songs.
I’ve never cared about making money off my music, but I do care about people hearing it, so we’re still doing downloads for donations - you pay $5 (or more if you’re feeling generous) and get 9 awesome songs, plus a bunch of awesome artwork created by Ellie Lane of Ellie Lane: Imagery & Jl Hirten! And if you donate before the end of this week (Friday) we will be doing the first batch through Allstate, which matches our donation at 15%. So if you haven’t bought it yet, do it this week and increase the amount we’re going to be able to give!
All proceeds through May 14th will go to benefit the Center on Halsted, which provides the LGBTQ community of Chicago with everything from volleyball, dance performances and cooking classes to rapid HIV testing, group therapy and vocational training. Find out more at www.centeronhalsted.org.
Get the album here and please REBLOG AND SPREAD THE WORD:

Have you ever been bullied? Bullying isn’t just something that happens in school. Bullying happens every day, everywhere, in all kinds of situations, to all kinds of people.
Hi, my name is Nina and I’m trying to make a long time goal happen. I’m a filmmaker, songwriter, and performer who’s been working for years on other people’s projects. Now I’m thrilled to realize my own project on a subject very personal for me — bullying.
This project is about creating art, music, and videos to empower those who feel victimized. This is a pilot project, using my own song called “Art of War,” from my album Bullheaded, which is scheduled for release as a music video on August 5th.
I wrote this song as a response to being on the receiving end of bullying for much of my childhood. Despite the difficulties and pain I faced, I’ve found that the emotional journey I’ve experienced is something I want to share. “Art of War” is a very significant part of that journey, where I found that could turn the anger and negative experiences into creative and productive energy.
Nina has been working on editing a documentary about Marc Emery for a while, now, and she’s finally wrapping up. she used one of my songs as a piece of temp music for one scene, and the producers liked it so much, that they’re actually putting it in the film!
i spent part of today cleaning it up and making it sound good enough to use.
enjoy!

GDSP #6, as directed by J Scott Grand
i decided to go the slightly corny route with the noir theme, but i’m happy with it.
music & narration by me.
(i think i sound a bit like Hank Venture in the episode of the Venture Bros. wherein he’s a detective.)
oh, hey. i made another video.
