Trapped In The Smallest Crack In The Wall
mynameisabi: I’ve wanted to address this for a while, but never really found an opportune moment until now. I’ll admit, there aren’t many people that live within driving distance of me that I would class as a close friend. I have acquaintances nearby, but very few people I trust. I used to have a handful, but we grew apart. Most of the people I used to know either don’t respect my lifestyle choices, or are going off and settling down with marriage and kids, or both. And that’s not for me just yet. It’s life. I can’t help that the few people I’ve actually found a connection with (and met, and spent actual time with, for the record) live a billion miles away. Do I get lonely sometimes? Sure. Do I spend way too much time on here? Definitely. But by whose standards? Yours? I don’t give a fuck about what your standards are for the ‘normal’ amount of time to be spending online. These are my choices and believe it or not, I’m happy with them. I never claimed to be anything I’m not.
